User Program
Within the program (apart from "Who's In" and the Help system), every button requires user ID and password in order to proceed. For ease of use, the program remembers the username logged in, and if Flexi users' names are same as Windows log on names, all the user has to do is to enter their password.
The emphasis is on minimum intervention required by a user. If a user comes in, goes for lunch, returns from lunch, then finishes for the day, all that is required is 4 clicks during the day. Furthermore, if a user is so busy that they carry on working through lunch, and provided they finish after a certain time (which is set in parameters), only coming in, then leaving for the day is required (the program automatically records a standard lunch-break, set in parameters).
Subject to the policy in force, at the end of each month, the accumulated flexi minutes are 'rolled over' into the following month, or reduced to a minimum carry over. If a user is in debit at the end of a month, greater than an agreed amount, a warning record is produced.
The month end chores require no input whatsoever from the administrator. The program automatically does all the necessary tasks.
The program also allows recording if a user goes home sick, is sick then comes in later, or goes on a half day's leave, or takes a half day in the morning, and then comes in.
